Sir Peredin has had enough of the civil war between the crown prince and the czar. All he wants is to travel the world with the love of his life, Sir Galadin. The only problem is that he is dead, and it is Peredin's fault.
When Peredin is ready to give up, he finds friends in unexpected places. They offer him support when he needs it, and send him on a chivalric quest. It is his last chance to restore his honour.
But the realm is still at war. No matter their outward loyalties, everybody has their own agenda. Can Peredin trust anyone, and can he trust himself?
When Sir Peredin’s quest brings him beyond the borders of our world, he discovers a way to bring Sir Galadin back from the Otherworld, even if it means breaking his new oaths and betraying his new friends.
